|
design concept
These
designs were inspired by modernist architecture and civil engineering
- buildings and structures such as grain silos, dams and bridges
of the 1950s and 60s. The abstract, geometrical forms of the period
are interpreted through textured relief panels on two or four sides
of the containers. |
|
The cast collection
of
concrete planters comprises two distinct ranges -
the
modernist collection
and the baroque collection.
Planters are individually cast in frost-proof concrete. They are
available in off-white or dark grey.
commissions
Planters can be commissioned to specification for anything from
small residential projects to large commercial developments.

design concept
These designs retain the flat surfaces of the modernist collection,
but introduce indented 'baroque' elements such as the voluptuous
swag and drop, curls and fruit and garland details found in
18th century sculpted facades. The 'damask planter' interprets
classic flock wallpaper in three dimensions, which becomesquite
monumental when rendered in hardcore concrete. |

about
ordering the planters: sadly, after a long-term relationship
with the manufacturers of my planters, they are no longer able to
make them for me so I am not able to supply them at the moment.
Finding good manufacturers is never easy and I'm not sure when they
will be
available again. However, I'd be happy to
hear from any manufacturer who would like to go into partnership
to produce these very
popular designs! |
